Barbados Free Press is CROOKED

Greetings to all at Bajan Patriots.

I hope that you will live up to your promise to provide a free and fair platform for Bajans to express our opinions. I just had a very nasty experience at Barbados Free Press, which it appears is run by a lunatic (or bunch of lunatics) who are obsessed with spreading the dirtiest lies about my country Barbados. When I raised questions about the truthfulness of their claims, all my comments were deleted or blocked. That is not freedom. Now I realise what someone meant when they warned me that BFP was a big scam by Adrian Loveridge to fool people and put out false information. I have witnessed his dishonesty firsthand today and (provided that BP can provide me with a truly free and fair forum) I doubt I will ever visit that blog again.

The BU (Barbados Underground) blog is doing the same as Barbados Free Press. When I challenged Adrian Loveridge about something they deleted my comment. Why are these blogs silencing black Bajans and allowing a foreigner like Adrian Loveridge to have his way publishing distorted information about tourism statistics for Barbados and the Caribbean? I do not like the way these people are trying to control and stifle the views of Bajans and manipulate public opinion. This is our country and we have a right to speak for ourselves.

As of today I am done with both BFP and BU!

Don't be surprised about either of those two useless blogs.

Barbados Free Press puts out nothing but fake stories, rubbish, lies and crap. The person(s) running that must have some sort of mental problems. I doubt that it is operated by any Bajan person. It could be Loveridge who is behind it, but whoever it is the person is a white foreigner. They often slip up and make comments using terms not found in Caribbean English, such as that latest one about "the financial toll of Christmas".

As for Barbados Underground, the guy running that is a self-avowed DLP supporter who deletes any comment which shows the government in a positive way. If anyone checks the archives there, earlier this year or last year, you will find statements by the administrator (David) about "when David Thompson becomes prime minister in the next elections". He is so arrogant and blind that he forgets about something called the electorate. Of course he is entitled to support the party of his choice, but deleting the views of BLP supporters proves that he is NOT interested in freedom of speech as he claims. What a hypocrite.

So one is a bunch of loonies (or a single loon), and the other is a biased jerk.

As for this Bajan Patriots.... well, I've been looking in now and then and this is the first time I am commenting here. So far it looks OK. Don't know how it will turn out but I'm willing to give it a try and see what happens. There is certainly a need for it. This feels a bit like Brass Tacks Online, available 24x7 but a lot more convenient. I like the fact that we can start our own topics, and I think I will come back and try that out probably when I get some time after the Christmas rush.

Thanks for providing this forum, but I do have one little complaint... can you please find a way to turn OFF that slightly annoying message which comes up asking to type in the letters to a random word each time I make a response?

Man, I hear that BFPE is a real honest site, and dat dey really like evabody white and black alike. I hear it real clean too - no bad words or nuttin'.
